Grit, salt and cold can crack pads. Here's how to protect them.
Road grit and salt are harsh on paws and toxic if licked.
- Rinse paws in lukewarm water after every walk
- Dry well between the toes
- Apply paw balm before and after walks
- Trim the fur between pads to stop snowballs forming
